Prof. Dr. Deusdedit Kigandi Nkurunziza is the Founding Chancellor and Executive Director of Gahinga Technology University (GTU).

Prof. Dr. Deusdedit Kigandi Nkurunziza

Prof. Dr. Deusdedit Kigandi Nkurunziza is a retired Professor of Theology and Peace Studies at Makerere University. Born on 4th November 1953 in Bufumbira, Kisoro District.

He holds the following academic qualifications:

  • B.A in Theology – Gregorian University, Rome
  • Masters in Theology – Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA)
  • Doctorate in Theology – Tübingen University, Germany
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning & Management – UMI
  • Masters in Peace & Reconciliation Studies – Coventry University, UK

  1. Bantu Philosophy of Life in the Light of the Christian Message (1989)

Mr. Deo Ndimo

Mr. Deo Ndimo is the Chairman Governing Council of Gahinga Technology University (GTU). A senior Consultant in Sustainable Urban Planning and Development. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Sociology, focusing on rural development.

Mr. Deo Ndimo

Deo Ndimo was born on 3rd March 1962 in Kisoro District in Uganda. He attained an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (upper second class) from Makerere University in 1987 and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Urban Management from Erasmus University, The Netherlands.

He has extensive experience in municipal leadership, urban planning, and project implementation across Uganda, working with World Bank, UNDP, African Development Bank, Austrian & Belgian Technical Cooperation supported projects.

Dr. Pamela Kampire (PhD)

Seasoned Gender and Development Expert with over 20 years’ experience in gender mainstreaming and social inclusion.

Dr. Pamela Kampire (PhD)

She has led or contributed to numerous national and international consultancies including USAID Feed the Future, UNICEF Gender Programmatic Review, WFP Gender Action Plan, and research on teenage pregnancy and early marriages.

Fluent in English, Luganda, and Runyakitara. Member of the Global Women’s Leadership Network.
